Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 1, 2025
Last Updated: 11/5/2025

Dermalaire Medical Spa (“Dermalaire”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (www.dermalaire.com), book services, complete intake or consultation forms, use our mobile communications, or otherwise interact with us.

1. Scope & Consent

By visiting our website, scheduling or receiving services, or otherwise providing us with your personal information, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this Privacy Policy. Use of our site and our services constitutes your consent to our collection, use, disclosure, transfer, and processing of your personal data as described herein. Similar to other medical-spa practices, we treat certain information as “protected health information” (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) where applicable.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal & Identifying Information

We may collect information that identifies you or can be used to identify you, such as:

  • Name, postal address, email address, phone number, date of birth

  • Payment information and billing details (collected through secure third-party processors)

  • Appointment history, treatment preferences, and service records

  • Health-related information you voluntarily provide (medical history, medications, allergies, aesthetic goals)

  • Photographs (before & after) and treatment imagery when consented
Other med-spa policies include similar health/data collection.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website or use our mobile services, we may automatically collect:

  • Device identifiers, IP address, browser type/version, operating system

  • Website usage information: pages visited, time spent, referring link, click paths

  • Cookies, web beacons, pixels, and other tracking technologies
These practices mirror those found in other medical-spa website policies.

2.3 Information from Third-Parties & Partners

We may receive information about you from third-party sources (for example: referrals, social media plug-ins, analytics services, marketing platforms). We also may use third-party platforms for appointment bookings, communications, text messaging, and processing payments. We ensure such partners are bound by confidentiality obligations.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To schedule and manage your appointments, provide and administer services, follow up on treatments

  • To process payments, billing, refunds, insurance claims (if applicable)

  • To send appointment confirmations, reminders, follow-ups, and where permitted, offers/promotions (with your consent)

  • To personalize and improve our website, mobile services, and overall client experience

  • To perform business operations: quality assurance, staff training, audit, compliance, record-keeping

  • To comply with legal, regulatory or safety obligations (including adverse-event reporting, required disclosures)

  • To facilitate communications (e.g., text/SMS marketing) where you have opted in, and to manage your communication preferences (opt-out/unsubscribe) — as seen in other spa policies.

  • To analyze trends and usage, measure effectiveness of our marketing, and improve service offerings

4. How We Share and Disclose Your Information

4.1 Service Providers & Business Associates

We may share your personal information with trusted third parties who help us: process payments, manage booking platforms, send communications, provide analytics, assist with marketing, or perform operational functions. These entities are only permitted to use your information for the specific purposes we specify and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

4.2 Legal & Safety Obligations

We may disclose your information:

  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g., subpoenas, court orders, regulatory investigations)

  • To protect our rights, property or safety, or the safety of clients or others

  • In the context of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or corporate restructuring — as some spa/privacy policies explicitly note.

4.3 Marketing & Sharing Restrictions

We do not sell your personal information. We will not rent or lease your personal data to third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your consent. Some policies explicitly include children-under-age disclaimers and opt-out rights.

4.4 Marketing Communications & Text/SMS

If you opt in to receive mobile/text (SMS/MMS) communications from us, you agree to receive those messages at the provided number, and message/data rates may apply. You may opt out (for example, replying “STOP”) at any time. (Other medical spas include this disclosure.)

5. Your Rights & Choices

5.1 Access, Correction, Deletion

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion of certain data (where permitted by law and our retention obligations). Some partner practices highlight this right explicitly.

5.2 Opt-Out of Marketing

You can opt out of marketing emails, SMS messages, or newsletters by clicking “unsubscribe” or contacting us at [Christian.infante@dermalaire.com]. This will not affect service-related communications (e.g., appointment reminders).

5.3 Restrict Use or Alternative Communications

You may request alternative means of communication (for example: email only, no SMS) or restrict certain uses of your data, particularly PHI, whenever possible.

5.4 Minors

Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without appropriate consent. (See other policies for reference.)

6. Data Security & Retention

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards reasonably designed to protect your personal and health-related information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security—similar to other medical-spa disclosures.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services, fulfill our legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When your information is no longer needed, it will be securely destroyed or anonymized.

7. Cookies, Tracking & Online Analytics

We use cookies, tracking pixels, web beacons, analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or similar platforms) to understand how you interact with our website, to personalize the experience, and to deliver relevant marketing. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Some spa-policies are explicit about this.

8. Health Information / HIPAA Compliance

Because we operate as a medical-spa facility offering aesthetic and medical treatments, certain health-related information you provide may qualify as “Protected Health Information” (PHI) under HIPAA. We follow HIPAA requirements when applicable:

  • We may use/disclose PHI for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations.

  • You may have rights (e.g., access, amendment, accounting of disclosures) under HIPAA to your PHI. (Guidance derived from larger provider notices.)

  • We will provide you with a “Notice of Privacy Practices” as required when federal law mandates it.
If you have questions about how your health information is handled, please contact us (see contact section).

9. Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to external websites or services not operated by us (for example partner booking systems, product vendors, social-media platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting personal information. This disclosure is found in other med-spa policies.

10. International Users & Transfers

If you access our site from outside the United States, please be aware that data we collect may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries. By providing your personal information, you consent to such transfer and processing. If additional/regional laws apply to your location, we will comply accordingly.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our website and mobile/text communication programs are not directed toward children under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without appropriate parental or guardian consent. If you believe we may have collected information from a minor, please contact us for deletion. (Reflects model policies.)

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date and post the revised policy on our website. Your continued use of our website or services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Contact Us
